Wonderful! During the Euromoney award in 2017 held in London, Guranty Trust Bank Plc (GTbank) said it was recently recognised as the "Nigeria's Best Bank & Africa's Best Bank for SME's" .
Euromoney now in its 26th years, they awards for excellence covers more than 20 global product categories, best-in-class awards and best bank in over 100 countries around the world by recognising the institution or bank that have demonstrated leadership, innovation, momentum and in the market they operate. Wow! This really good from them.
Segun Ogbaje, the CEO and managing director of GTbank, said while commenting on the award:
"We are honored to win the Best Bank in Nigeria award a record eight times and to be recognised as Africa's Best Bank for SMEs. Even Mr. Clive Horwood, Euromoney Magazine's Editor, said that upon how the Nigeria economy was bad; low oil prices and capital flight which weakened other banks but GTbank still remains strong, recording significance, and enviable financial and non-financial performance.
